Notice Board

Turf Wicket Cover Protocol – Enforced for the Weekend of 19th April

    • Clubs hosting A Grade, and B Grade matches are required to cover the turf wicket table with a hessian and full table cover on Friday night
    • Covers must remain on overnight and during periods of rain;
    • Hessian must be dry before use, and covers must be weighted or secured appropriately;
    • Covers must be removed as soon as practicable to avoid pitch ā€œsweatingā€;
    • The responsibility to cover wickets lies with the clubs, not the ground curator;
    • The DDCC will monitor compliance via umpire reports and ground inspections;
    • In the event of rain during live play, clubs must immediately cover the entire table. The designated Home Team is responsible for coordinating this action in cooperation with both teams;
    • Clubs failing to comply may be referred to the DDCC Tribunal and risk the loss of competition points or financial penalty (where it is determined that non-compliance has contributed to a match being abandoned or unplayable);
    • Should any club have difficulties preparing a wicket or accessing or using covers, please notify us ASAP.
