The Alice Springs Cricket Association (ASCA) has officially drawn the curtain on a successful 2024/25 season, with players, clubs and supporters reflecting on a campaign marked by skill, sportsmanship and community spirit.
Alice Springs 2024/25 Cricket Season Ends on a High
From junior achievements to senior contests, the season featured plenty of highlights and concluded with a presentation night at Gap View Hotel on Sunday, 23 March.
Among the juniors, Federal ASBuild CC’s Jordan McVeigh emerged as a standout performer, sweeping the U13 Champion Player, Batting and Bowling Aggregates, and the Male Junior Cricketer of the Year.
The U16 division also witnessed strong performances, with Aaron McVeigh and Oscar Collin shining throughout the season.
In women’s cricket, Olivia Schulz from West CC capped off a dominant season by taking home both the Jenny Kroker Senior Cricketer of the Year and the Ashton Medal. Zoe Trull from Complete Construction CC awarded with the Jane Braszell Medal.
In the senior men’s competition, Samindra Madushan from West CC delivered a consistent all-round campaign to be named Senior Cricketer of the Year and for the Jarrod Wapper Medal.
ASCA also recognised club-wide excellence, with Federal ASBuild CC being crowned Club Champions, while Complete Constructions CC received the Spirit of Cricket Award, acknowledging their commitment to fair play and camaraderie.
