NT Cricket, in partnership with AANT, is delighted to announce that Brock Allie from Federal Cricket Club in Alice Springs has been named February's 'AANT Volunteer of the Month'.
Brock, a senior member of Federal Cricket Club, plays a pivotal role both on and off the field, particularly in mentoring young players. Brock leads junior and senior training sessions, organizes equipment, and coordinates drills; efforts that are crucial to ensuring the club operates smoothly and continues to develop talent at all levels.
Every Friday night, Brock is actively involved with the Under-16 teams, managing everything from umpiring to facility upkeep. His meticulous attention to detail ensures that each session is well-organized and conducive to player development.
Reflecting on the importance of his volunteering, Brock shared:
"Volunteering means a lot to me. When I was young, adults invested in me the way I invest in our juniors now. It's not just about me or the club; it's about supporting the juniors who are the future of the club.
Receiving this award means a lot because it recognizes the hard work I've put in, and it's rewarding to see that it doesn't go unnoticed by the club.
Chatting with life members over a beer, hearing stories from 60 years ago, it's all part of this incredible journey and I'm grateful to be a part of it.”
Northern Territory Cricket & AANT are particularly proud to recognise Brock in 2025 given this year marks the 60th Anniversary of Brock’s beloved Federal Cricket Club. Brock’s recognition a fitting tribute during Federal's milestone year.
As the Volunteer of the Month, Brock will receive a 12-month Premium AANT Membership and a $250 United fuel voucher.
Nominations are now open for March AANT Volunteer of the Month. If you know a volunteer who goes above and beyond for your club, submit your nomination here.
