NT Cricket Statement | Adi Dave

Northern Territory Cricket would like to express its deep sadness at the passing of Adi Dave.

Adi was a hugely popular and highly talented young member of the local cricket community, and he will be missed by many.

Adi left a lasting impression at three Darwin and Districts Cricket Clubs, earned selection in numerous Northern Territory Pathway teams, and went on to represent the NT at Cricket Australia Underage National Championships.

A promising left arm orthodox spinner, Adi made headlines in 2017 when at 15 years of age he fielded at short leg during an Australian Men’s Test Team intra-squad match in Darwin.

Adi had the best seat in the house during a showdown between a Steve Smith XI and the David Warner XI, recruited by the Australian squad as a substitute fielder for the three-day match at what is now DXC Arena.

Our hearts go out to Pankaj and Hetal Dave, and all of his family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time.
