PINT v Palmerston - DXC Arena 2
PINT simply must win at the very least to give itself a chance of making finals, but an outright victory is the most likely requirement to break in.
The Greens sit a game outside the top four in sixth position but need to bypass Darwin and Waratah who sit two spots above them.
It’s unlikely that a win will advance them to finals in a fortnight with results needing to go their way as well, including the Tahs losing to bottom-placed Tracy Village.
So perhaps bowling first, going for a win first and foremost, and then the outright may be a wise move.
But in front of them is a fit and firing Palmerston side who have been ultra impressive this campaign.
The Power have already locked away top spot and will be strong contenders for the flag this year.
A strong performance will be key to their preparations in going deep into the premiership race.
The Greens will want to keep an eye on scores around the grounds to see what they require in order to make the finals.
But an outright win will most likely be the requirement to make the top four.
The Green have a 2-3 record this campaign compared to Power’s 4-1.
Prediction: Power
Waratah v Tracy Village - Gardens Oval
Waratah has the chance to secure a home semi final with a win over Tracy Village in the final round of the season.
The six points could see the Warriors climb two spots into second but they will have a tough challenge in front of them.
Tracy almost knocked off one day champions Nightcliff last week and they could definitely spark fear in the Warriors side.
The Villagers are yet to win a game in this two-day season and this could be the moment.
But at home, many will be backing the Warriors to be prime as they attempt to finish as high as second on the ladder.
An unlikely loss for the Warriors would shake up the competition and give Darwin and PINT the chance to claim a spot in the top four
Prediction: Warriors
Southern Districts v Darwin - Gerry Wood Oval
Darwin could open the door to a top four finish with an unlikely outright victory over Southern Districts in the final round of the season.
A win could also pave a path into the finals but they would also need Tracy Village to defeat fourth-placed Waratah and PINT to lose or win by a small margin.
The most likely scenario will see the Eagles requiring an outright victory to match the Crocs on 22 points on the table before further calculations would determine the higher placed side.
With the way the Crocs batting has been going this campaign, you never say never to a big result for the Eagles.
The Crocs have constantly relied on their tail to do the heavy lifting with the bat this season.
Their luck with the lower order batters has the potential to come to an end in this encounter.
A low total would open the door for the Eagles, although, they would need to step up their bowling which hasn’t always been strong this season.
The Crocs will certainly benefit from the home-ground advantage as it forces the Eagles to travel the longest distance in the competition for a game.
Plus, their recent form after losing the opening two games of the campaign has been strong so they remain a strong chance in this one.
