NT Cricket Fixed Penalties Policy

1. Purpose

This policy outlines the Fixed Penalties system for breaches of the NT Cricket Code of Conduct and Behaviour Standards. It applies to all registered participants, including players, coaches, team leaders, officials, volunteers, parents, and spectators. The system ensures a fair and consistent approach to managing behavioural issues on and off the field.

3. Good Behaviour Penalty Eligibility

A participant may be eligible for a reduced sanction via a Good Behaviour Penalty (GBP) only for Level 1 offences, subject to the following conditions:

  • The charge is accepted without contest (Early Guilty Plea).

  • The participant has not been reported in the past three (3) NT Cricket seasons.

  • If the incident involved another participant or official, a written apology must be submitted with the response.

4. Notes

  • Suspended Penalties (*) may be activated upon any future breach within 12 months.
  • NT Cricket reserves the right to escalate any matter directly to the Tribunal if serious or repeated.
  • Offences involving vilification will also be subject to NT Cricket's Anti-Discrimination and Vilification Framework.
  • Playing Day Fixed applies to the next match in the correct grade as defined in the Disciplinary Procedures.
