2024 Multicultural Cup Kicks Off Tonight!

The 2024 Multicultural Cup officially starts tonight (Friday, 4 October) at DXC Arena under the lights with an exciting opening match between Sri Lanka B and Bangladesh at 6pm.

This year's tournament commences, with 10 teams representing 5 nations - Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, battling it out across three venues in Darwin over the first three weekends of October. Teams will showcase their talent and passion, making this one of the most vibrant cricket events of the year!

Featuring 3 teams from India, 2 each from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Australia, and 1 team from Bangladesh, the Multicultural Cup shows the diversity and inclusivity that lies at the heart of the Northern Territory.

This initiative aligns with Cricket Australia's Multicultural Action Plan, which aims to strengthen the bonds between our multicultural communities through sport. Northern Territory Cricket is committed to bringing the diverse and rapidly growing cricket community here in the Territory closer and closer together, and the Multicultural Cup is a great vehicle to achieve that.
