Junior Cricket Continues To Grow With Maccas' Support

NT Cricket is proud to announce that McDonald's will continue supporting the Darwin and Districts Cricket Competition's Junior grades for the upcoming 2024 season, marking an incredible 16 years of support for Junior Cricket in Darwin.

Junior Cricket in the Top End has continued to grow with record Blast numbers in the March and April programs and an additional 4 teams registered ahead of the Junior Cricket season commencing this weekend. There are now 50 Junior Cricket teams and over 500 boys and girls registered in the U9s, U12s, U15s and through to U19s.

NT Cricket CEO Gavin Dovey is thrilled to have McDonald’s continue their support as part of the backing that McDonald’s gives community sport throughout Australia.

“McDonald’s have been such a wonderful supporter of Junior Cricket here in the NT for such a long period of time. It is a partnership that we’re very proud of and we’re thrilled to see that continued investment in grassroots cricket.”

Phillip Coleman, Licensee for McDonald's Stuart Park and Darwin Central, stated his excitement about the renewed partnership and the opportunity to continue supporting the Darwin and Districts Cricket Competition's Junior grades.

“We believe in the importance of providing opportunities for young people to participate in sports and develop their skills, and we are committed to helping make that happen."
