2024 Quality People Women's Competition Fixture Is Live!

The Women’s Competition retains it’s place in prime time with matches played on Friday nights under lights. The women’s competition continues to grow year on year and with the inclusion of two Southern Districts teams in 2024, the competition has been boosted to an 8-team fixture.

The women will again play in a dual format competition commencing with pairs cricket for the opening seven rounds before switching to T20 matches for the second half of the 14-round season. 

Round 1 commences on Friday 19 April with 2024 Premiers Tracy Village taking on PINT at Nightcliff Oval. Palmerston host Nightcliff at Cazalys Arena and we see the battle of the inner-city clubs with Darwin taking on Waratah at Gardens Oval. The round will conclude with a Crocs’ home derby at Gerry Wood Oval on Sunday 21 April as the ‘Salties’ taking on the ‘Freshies’.  

A new initiative in the Women’s competition is the Big Bash Style Finals series. The first and second placed teams battle it out in the ‘Qualifier’ on Friday 23 August for direct passage into the final. Third and fourth play on the same night in the ‘Eliminator’ with the winner to play the loser of the ‘Qualifier’ in the ‘Challenger’ on Friday 30 August.  

The winner of the ‘Challenger’ will earn the right to face off against the winner of the ‘Qualifier’ in the 2024 Quality People Women’s Grand Final on Friday 6 September at DXC Arena.
